hotel is really nice but unfortunately not designed for rain[too open plan] so rain came into the lobby and some of the rooms[ours included].staff were superb and it was soon sorted out.we didnt get to do the trips but got differing opinions from people who had.

Is there much to choose between Sal and Boa Vista, or are they both pretty similar?

Tourism is new to both Islands but Sal has been under development longer and ther is more choice outside the hotels.
Have only been to Boa, may try Sal next year. We talked to the hotel photoghraher she has worked on both islands her opinion was Sal had the better nightlife wheras Boa had the better beaches.
