Hi everyone

I am planning a holiday to Crete next near (Chania area) and intend to hire a car. There will be six of us so we will need a people carrier type car.

Most car hire companies are not able to give me an idea of prices for next July yet so I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what to expect price wise. I need to start thinking about the budget!

Also if anyone has a car hire company recommendation I would be pleased to hear about it.

This year in Chania area prices as follows:
Scudo Minibus: 68 euros per day
Hyundai H1: 72 euros per day

hire for 3+ days for unlimited mileage.

We're going out on 10th June, just need a car for 2 people and a suitcase - any recommendations.
Staying on outskirts of Malia, are we best getting taxi from airport to resort then hiring locally or pick up from airport ?

Cheapest place I found was http://www.megarent.gr , but I enquired about a vehicle only to get this reply

There is Not any rep who wants to come !!
Please ask in another company.

Yet on their opening page of the website it says 'Tell us when you want the car and we will be there'
