we really were wondering if anyone had any suggestions on kid friendly (posssibly avoiding any major hurricaines) places to go, the Father in law fancies Cuba, i would like Margarita and Hubby is not fussed, mother inlaw fancies Jamaica, but i dont really know much about any of them,
If anyone has any suggestions that would be great, im signing off just now, but will be back on first thing in the morning (when i am supposed to look busy in front of the boss LOL)
Many Thanks
Loups
Hi, typically this is hurricane season in the carribean. when we were in the Dom Rep, we were told that the north side of the island had never been directly affected by a hurricane. This may be a safer bet? I read that First Choice have a new holiday village which your kids would love being the ages they are, difinately worth a read. Also there is loads to do in the way of excursions. We did the cable car ride up the mountain, which the kids loved. Also there is white water rafting, catamarans etc.
Thanks Rachie, i found the resort its golden beach resort, it looks fabuolous, got the brochure the other day, it looks really good, loads to do for kids up to 16 years soccer school dj training all sorts of stuff, the kids club is open all day up unitl 10pm which is great as they can choose what time they go, trying to convince the mother in law its the place to go, as she has reservations about DR but its looking good at the minute, i am hoping to book by July gove me enough time to pay for it.
Hi, just wondered if anyone had any ideas for hotels/locations in the carribean for a good family holiday? There would be a 10yr old, and 18 yr old and 2 parents, so a little something for everyone and relatively near a town/city preferably. If anyone has any ideas i'd be very grateful. Thanks

here you go Carol ...we're off there again in 9 weeks so are counting down the days. virgin were doing a special fare in May for £599 to antigua and then the hotel comes on top + taxi fares etc but it may be worth checking out various sites for quotes.
It really is so special , My husband never normally relaxes or chills on holiday but after 1 week here . he was so laid back . He loves it as do I and my 2 teenagers even though there's not that much to do in teh evenings. You do make your own fun but you're also usually up early and have a great day so you're ready for your bed. having said that last year we arrived on a sunday and went to teh karaoke in Coco's after dinner and ended up being there until 2 in the morning which was 7 am our time !! do look into it , I promise you won't be disappointed.

We are thinking of going somewhere in the Caribbean for my husbands 40th in Easter 2008 - can anyone recommend a good place to go with our two children aged 13 and 6???
Have a look on http://www.eclipsedirect.co.uk It's part of First Choice so the long haul flights are fantastic as you every loads of room and seat back tv's.
