Hi,Yes I stopped at the Cavala in January.It's a lovely old Portuguese building.The service is good,bar is nice,views out the back are good if you like the birdlife.One small complaint was that one night they had a band on who where rather loud and didn't stop until 1am.Other than that good value for money.

Quick question for Fixby (or anyone else who knows)... I had a look at this, it looks really nice. On the tariff it lists suites and doubles. Which did you have, and do you know if the doubles still have a separate lounge area or is that just the suites?

We book a suite, I think that you are right in that the double rooms are just bedroom and bathroom.

Can anyone help me in booking the Cavala I have my flight booked and have emailed and rang the Cavala on a number of occasions. Maria originally told me that there was no problem with dates and availablity etc but I still havent had details of who or where to send deposits.

We have stayed here in past years and never had any problems before with booking.

Can anyone give me any help I dont want to miss out!!!!
