We have an apartment in Turkey, and we always say we are flexible with change over days, as many people from different parts of the country, have flights to certain airports on certain days.
It does mean that you can get gaps, which is a loss of potential earnings, perhaps it would be worth looking at all the different airports and see which days they normally fly on.
Aye we do the same tbh, but its a bit of a mismash. Looks like Mondays would be better, but the crafty airlines cheaper prices seem to be Mondays out and Thursdays back.
We usually say Saturday changeovers in high season (mid June to end August) and flexible at other times. We haven't noticed any particular days which are requested by guests, so no clues there! In our experience it's always a bit of a lottery which days and which airlines have the cheapest prices for a particular period - and also, of course, which airport you want to fly from.
Tour operators operate on Thursdays and Saturdays but the budget airlines are often daily. Also I think if people go midweek rather than weekends it means using an extra days holiday so more often than not they are happy with weekend changeovers even though the fares might be more expensive although that often depends on when the flights are booked.
Hi Mick I think you will find that midweek turnovers for flights can run out as expensive as weekend ones the nearer the time folks get to booking flights, as you know they get more expensive nearer the time of departure they book.We use Sat/Sun turnovers normally in high season and if folks want midweek ones we state on our website that its subject to a supplement, as you can lose a full week booking in the process. If they are happy to pay it thats ok. We tend to give compromise with folks who regularly book our house from one year to next, after all you gotta look after your regular folks & we have quite a few. Learn by experience, some folks are quite flexible if you approach them the right way.Big problem is school holiday bookings wish there was 16 or more weeks each in JULY & AUGUST could have booked them many times over, PM me when you are over in algarve in May we can hopefully meet for a drink. Cheers Jayjan
