This shouldn't be a problem, most companies will allow a lead name change. Normally they will need authorisation from the lead to say that he wishes to transfer over the booking to the other person and then that person normally also has to give authorisation to say they accept it. Normally this has to be done in writing, easier if possible to write the letters, scan them and send them via email if they allow that.
They will charge for this and the holiday will probably have to be recaluclated as it wil probably alter the room split.

Shouldn't be a problem but you will be charged for this.

Agree with Leisurelad - I was lead name on a holiday that an ex friend was paying for. We had a fall out and I took my name off so that she was able to go with someone else
