I've seen this one, although not stayed in it, and it looks very tidy

I have stayed in a seaview room at Shanu Holiday Home, right on the edge of the beach with balcony but the Calangute end of Candolim (so maybe not where you want to be), and this was clean, reasonable and spacious (not all roooms the same size). No pool, but it's a few steps to the beach, so fine by me. To get to it, is down a lane opposite Lawande store.

Regards , Scorpion.
I looking for accommodation in the Candolim area near the Highland Beach as we have friends staying there (we couldnt get in the dates we want - 29th Dec - 11th Jan) I have read about the Sand Pebbles and Scorpion says its at top of a lane......I very nervious of lane where there may be dogs is it a long walk up the lane or maybe similar to the Highland Beach
Many thanks
Jules
Hi, it is a similar walk to the Highland but obviously the acommodation is not to the same standard, as is reflected in the price Scorpion.
To anyone else reading this thread - there are loads of guesthouses behind Cafe Coffee Day and behind the football pitch that will be rooms for way under 1000 per night. We were staying at God's Gift in January and had some friends join us unexpectedly and Gods Gift were full. Got them a nice room for 400 per night in one of the nameless places painted bright colours behhind the football pitch. Unless this season is unexpectedly packed you should be able to turn up (although not Xmas/New Year) and get a room for under 1000 per night no problems in that vicinity.
Cheers
Sian
I have contacted the Sand Pebbles and another place I found.........up until 2 yrs ago we always stayed calangute area but now find it too busy. like Candolim but not sure were everything is yet lol
thanks again
Jules
