we are searching for a nice and sunny place - turquoise and warm blue ocean, palm trees, white sandy beach, without dangerous animals - for our winterholiday (19.12.2009-5.1.2010).
We are two adults, one child with 6 years and one with 1 year.
Last year we booked our amerika holiday over an australian travel provider and saved a lot of money compared to the booking in germany. Maybe there is a land where the Euro is more worthy than in other countries (exchange rate).
Something like the Maldive Islands would be great, but they are to expensive. Our max. amount for these journey would be about 2000 Euro (including food).
When we think abouts palm trees and turquoise blue ocean then we think for example of Cuba or Thailand, Malaysia
We would be very lucky if one could help us / or give us a hint to find a wonderful but cheap journey for our family.

i think you may have a major problem with your budget given that holidays over the Christmas/New Year
period are very very expensive and the places you wish to visit are not the cheapest at any time of the year
if i where you...I would contact a travel agent or supplier asking them to check prices for your chosed dates
for peak dates its no good dreaming action is required !!!
