For those who have booked on Air Asia you need to check your itinerary regularly so no nasty surprises.
Today I bought extra luggage from 15kg to 20kg and printed off the new itinerary. My husband noticed a flight number change so we checked the times. Without any notification we had been moved to a flight 2 hours earlier allowing us only 1 hour 25 mins to pick up luggage and pass through customs and immigration and recheck in at Domestic. AA is a point to point airline and if you miss the flight you pay again. They would not have known we were coming in from another country as the flights are booked independently and had different booking numbers.
I rang their contact number and they happily place us on a later flight. However, this now means we have over 6 hours to wait at LCCT which is a pest.
So keep checking your booking through 'Manage my booking'.
Cheers Geri
We booked flights with AA and they sent me a text with a flight change of time. I was very impressed.
gerib - you might wish to check your SPAM filter and make sure any emails from Air Asia X are not being picked up as a spam message.
I've just checked my spam file and nothing from AAX. I've also checked our International flight to KL and that time has changed too but only by an hour. Methinks it's due to daylight savings which will change again before we leave. Our clocks move forward on the 4th October and we leave on the 10th.
