Heard many times from people living in tenerife, you must go to the chicken shack. Well this time we have a hire car for a few days so we intend to visit, just one problem where is it.
I believe there are two of them, directions for both would be great, we are staying at the dinastia complex, oasis del sur district.los cristianos
Don't know as we just get a taxi and it is up in Adeje town.
Someone's given some kind of directions to the Chicken shack here

under "possibly the best garlic chicken in the world!!"
Don't know if that'll help.
Thanks Fiona for your useful advice.
No probs.
Having tasted both in the last few years i prefer Othelos on the
Fanabe beach resturants area, just before the perfume shop.

Got to agree with David Othelos is better for food..but the one in Adeje is good as you are away from the tourist areas and it is a lovely village well worth a trip definitely...
Ann
Hi, if you venture to Adeje village, try "The Damary" thier spicy chicken is out of this world!!!! well very very good!!!!!
Othello and the Adeje Chicken Shack are under the same ownership
yes they othellos in fanabe is the same owners as the big pink othellos in adeje. I much prefer the one in adeje though, it has the most fantastic views. I went to another chicken place in adeje a couple of weeks ago as othellos was shut for a refurb, anyway the chicken was no where near as good as othellos.
Right comon you posters where is othellos then. Give me some landmarks and other restaurants nearby which i may know.
Otelo 1 in the town of Adeje - right at the entrance to Barranco Infierno
Otelo 2 on the seafront prom at Fanabe about two-thirds of the way down from Puerto Colon Marina as you walk towards El Duque
So can i assume that it is past the Mc Donalds down by the sea near to Bahamas 1&2 restaurant. A little further on is'nt there some restaurants with some shops at the back of them overlooking the sea
the other othellos you need to go through adeje, heading towards the cannon and keep going uphill. It is a dead end so when you get to the highest piont in adeje you will be there, it is painted pink and you cant miss it!
Cheers emskie, a little wiser now. Whats the prices like. I assume they only do garlic chicken, salad and chips like the one up in adeje.
