There is a place just past candolim, called sweet chillies on a wednesday night they do a carnival theme for children, all characters, fire show etc. The food is not that good but ok for children to watch show, you need to get there for 7ish to get good table at front.

As per previous popst can really recommend sweet chilli on a Wednesday night. Childrens entertainers, dancing, face painting. Our 2 loved it. It's at the Sinquerim end of Candolim but well worth the journey. We never had a problem with anywhere making us feel unwelcome with our children.

Hi Nicola, the Oceanic at Baga Beach have their BBQ and fireworks/magician nite on Wednesdays. The shack next door Shining Star have theirs on a Monday night and the shack to the left hand side of the Oceanic (sorry name escapes me just now) is a Sunday night. Your wee boy would enjoy those nights, and its a good night for both adults and kids.
The pub/restaurant with the smoking etc might be Banana Moon in Calangute :think
You will have a great nite at the shacks tho and the staff are really good with children.

1 tip yummymummy, at sweet chillies watch the bill, tired to overcharge on drinks by not 1 or 2, also they do add service charge as well, if you do eat there the portions are very small.

Thanks Goldenlady, i think we've only ever ate at a place were the portion sizes were small, and that was a beach shack in calangute.
We will watch out for the bill, any unwanted extras included on the bill they will not get a penny for.

Thanks

Nicola

The shack to the left of the Oceanic is the Silver Sands. The guys in there are lovely. We spent alot of time there Jan 07 with our little boy, who was 3 and a half at the time. He was well entertained by Johnny who played football with him. And the food and service is great there.

We can't go this year as we now have a little girl and she is too young. So I am gutted and having to make do with this website !!! :cry

Still, we are just about to book for Jan 09 :) She will be 18 months by then, the same age our son was when we first took him.

Have a great holiday and should you pop into the Silver Sands, say Maria, Robin and little George say hi !!

Hi Maz, thanks for the post :)
I first took my little lad when he was 6 and a half months old, we went for 3 weeks. He was fine, just kept him in the shade all day, played with bucket and spades, and went in the swimming pool etc.

We go in 8 days, im really looking forward to it :)

Nicola,

Fairplay for taking baby that young. All our family thought we were crazy when we took an 18month old. But then most of them haven't been further than Spain LOL !

Erin is 5 months old, and I just thought it would be a nightmare with sterilising etc, and all the stuff we'd need to take. I also didn't think they could have their jabs that young.

Anyway hope you have a great holiday. Where are you staying ?

Hi, we are staying in Baga at the riverside guest house.

Talking about sterilising equipment, i dont know how the heck i managed to fit all my sons swim nappies, bottles etc in my suitcase :rofl

During the frequent power cuts we had to keep going to the restaurant in our hotel for them to get us hot water to make bottles, but he wasnt really on much milk, he was on that progress milk, but had lots of baby food, i just took the cow and gate baby food in packets that you add hot water to.
