I am thinking of maybe doing a china tour next year has anybody got any recommendations of which company to use or is it better to make my own itinerary?

We did a tour with thomas cook signiture in 2004, it was great , well organised, exellent hotels.

would love to hear more. Can you combine the tour with a stopover somewhere? China Tours can only offer Hainan Island which is very high rainfall when we want to go.

Travelsphere seem to do reasonably priced tours but not tried them personally. http://www.travelsphere.co.uk

Thanks- have just emailed them. I noticed they did a China/Bangkok combination. We would be wanting to make our own arrangements there so I am not sure if that is possible. We'll see though!

If you didn't want a private guide/chaffeur on a tailor made package, like we're getting, China Holidays just do a meet and greet service if that's all you want. Might be a bit more flexible for you?

Been with Travelsphere 2004 and rate them highly.
Excellent Tour and Cruise on Yangtse River.
Went like Clockwork.
Loved every minute.
