I've wanted to spend Xmas Day on a beach with a large Cuba Libre in my hand, but she has resisted -and now with 5 grandchildren under 7 don't think it is EVER going to happen!!
We have gone away over New Year a few times. We have left on the 26th as i just feel guilty going over Christmas. Loved it! Las Vegas- we watched the fireworks from our balcony. As the hotel was off the Strip we had a brilliant viewpoint. Had been out to a show earlier. Bangkok was also good but NYE celebrations seemed to go on just for half an hour and then it was all back to normal, which suited me!
In the past we had been away for New Year - one year we were near Frankfurt staying with relations - the firework displays were stunning and went on for a long time. We watched from a balcony with well chilled Champagne and hot chocolate! Would love to do it again but the relatives are back in the UK.
Told everyone we weren't sending cards, only bought gifts for the children in the family & didn't have to bother putting the tree etc up. 👍
I'd like to go somewhere with guaranteed snow & log fires but always very expensive.
We would like to arrange a grand gathering in our Home and invite all nearly people's.
