We're (2 adults 2 children aged 10 and are going to Eygpt for 2 weeks flying out on 21st December. Has anyone had any experience of Christmas and New Year in Eygpt and also what the average tempertures are likely to be? We're staying at the Three Corners Rhianna Resort hotel AI so a Christmas and New Years Gala dinner is included.
Will there be any links to Father Christmas on Christmas Day for the children or should a bring a mini tree and sort something out myself? I've never been anyway for xmas before so I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Also it's going to be my birthday while we're out there (another first for me), will they provide a cake if my husbands asks (my kids love candle time!!).
Any experience on the hotel and resort also appreciated as I've never been to Eygpt before and as I'm currently doing an archaeology degree at the moment I want to see and do everything (Cairo, Valley of the Kings etc etc etc).
My husband is a PADI rescue diver so any advice on the best diving school also appreciated as my son wants to try his hand at the bubble maker
Sorry can't help with any of your questions but we are also going to Egypt for Christmas and New Year and it's also my birthday while we're over there. We're staying at the Sultan Gardens and really looking forward to it. We have spent the last three Christmases in Tenerife and really enjoyed being away - hope we enjoy Sharm as well. Anyway, just wanted to say enjoy and will be interested to see if anybody can be of more help to you than I have been!!!

Hello, We are going to be in El Gouna at 3 corners Rihana for Christmas Week this year (from 23rd). Its a bit of a while off, but we are already giddy to be going. I can tell from the forums that a couple of people (Essexmum and Blueheather) have been recently, and would love to know the answers to Essex mums questions i.e. weather, clothes, what happens on Christmas Eve, what to expect on Christmas Day, and also as we are celebrating two birthdays whilst we are away that week, where the best places are to celebrate? And finally what Essexmum thought about the Rihana over Christmas Week in 07 - was it busy, madness, or just great fun. Thanks in advance.
