Hi All,
Just need some advice on where people think will be the best place to do for a 3 or 4 day break during the end of November for 2 adults in their mid-twenties. I have a few places in mind from Amsterdam, Budapest, Boston, New York and Brussels but am generally stuck.
Not really sure New York and Boston will be suitable for a short break as the flights are pretty long, but the weak pound relative to Euro means European countries are becoming less apealing. What does eveyone think? We are into good food and a bit of exploring and some nightlife but not too roudy.
Thanks for you advice
Simon
How about prague or Krawkow ??. Plenty to see and do in and around both of these places + krakow has the added advantage of a trip to Auschwitz
Thanks fo rthe suggestion, I forgot to mention we have already visited Prague, Krakow, Barcelona and Madrid before so want to try some place new.
we went to slovenia last year for 5 days and travelled around a bit and it was fab lots of beautiful places to visit, like lake bled, fab caves and ljubljana city was lovely too. i quite fancy riga but havent been , but ive just booked some cheap flights end of oct to istanbul and really looking forward to that, another place we loved and again went for 5 days was marrakech in morocco and thats cheap and doesnt have the euro . ive been to all the places you mention except boston and enjoyed them all but in my opinion apart from prague which i loved, slovenia and marrakech are more interesting. hope this helps
How about Granada or Seville in southern Spain?
I went to New York in March for just four nights. I was very tired a lot of the time I was there, I don't know whether that was jet lag or just plain tired from all the walking I did. I wished I had stayed one more night as I didn't get to do everything that I had planned to do, nevertheless I really enjoyed the trip. I met quite a few people that were like me just there for a few days. I think that if you don't try to fit seeing too much into the few days it is doable.
