Yeah would say the drinks were a bit more expensive at the hotel but thats kind of normal. The food through the day we found to be very good value and the breakfast menu was good but again a little more expensive. Just a few minutes walk down the road towards the court you can eat breakfast for next to nothing. Also at the bottom of the road opposite blue bay hotel there is a little bar called "sail". It looks nothing but they do ice cold beer very cheap and great ice creams for the kids. It can make a good half way stop from the supermarket in the hot sun.
One other point about eating out rather in hotel, we found that nearly always ended up with free fruit plate, kids ice cream or drink and this all adds up at the end of the holiday. If you find a good restaurant (and there are so many) and return you will always get something on the house. Happy holidays. When do you go?

Thanks....I go on June 21st, I've been Marmaris before but not to Aida.
Last time I went it worked out about £100 per day but maybe this time i'll have to take alot more :( Or perhaps drink efes instead of Vodka :cheers
Are the balconies a decent size Frosty? Could you watch whats going on downstais from them?

Club Aida balconys are average size, 4 off us sat on ok. Some floors have balconys that have iron railings and you can see but ours had a brick wall so you had to stand up to see anything.

If you turn left out of the Aida and walk to the crossroads,5 minutes away, try cousins on the corner, they do some great set menus and drinks are BOGOF all night.

2 questions - is Cousins restaurant still opposite Club Alize or did it move? and has anyone tried the flexi-dine option at Club Aida and does it work out good value for money or you best to just pay-as-you-go?

Thanks.

Think I'm right in saying there are two Cousins restaurants, one opposite Alize and one if you come out of Aida and turn left towards the road that goes up hill.

Yes, it is in Armutalan. It's just over the road from Club Alize and Cousins restaurant which you may be more familiar with. It opened in 2009 I think. We stayed there last year and would definately recommend it. The rooms are big and bright and the staff are excellent.

Technically it is in Armutalan but it really is on the boundary. By that I mean Armutalan goes back for quite a bit and from what I can gather some people like what they find way 'up the back' of the resort. Club Aida gets a good reptation.

Hi,

I am looking at booking the aida. I looked round the rooms when it was first built and they looked great. I just want to know about the kids club. As it is a hotel run kids club is it safe? We have just got back from the Grand Azur and couldn't leave the kids alone in the kids club. It is a hotel run kids club and it was right next to the beach and the walkway to marmaris with only a tiny fence and just one young 19yr old girl looking after the kids. She frequently left the kids alone to take one of the kids back to their parents. I would not be able to relax if I had left my kids there, although some people were leaving 2.5yr olds alone there! :really She also took it upon herself to tell my 6yr old son and his holiday romance who was 5 that santa is not real, but that is another story!

We have stayed at the Club Alize several times and their kids club is fantastic. In a purpose built locked room with air con and 2 trained staff. It is run by first choice so i fully trusted them. What is the Aida kids club like?

Many thanks

Love Nikki

It's really hard to choose between Aida and Club Alize - they're really similar. I would say the entertainment, both around the pool in the day-time and in the evenings, was better at Club Alize so it would probably just edge my preference 55/45. Both are excellent though.

I stayed at Club Aida last year and the kids club wasn't very good, its hotel run so just consists of kids sitting in a room drawing, my son was 5 and just walked out and found me by the pool.
I have also stayed at Club Alize and am returning there this year, but only because it was so much cheaper.

On the whole I think the Aida was better (room wise), cleaner and the staff were fab, but Alize is busier with better kids clubs.

:cheers

we went to Aida last June and had a brilliant time! tried to book again this year but the price rocketed ... think this is due to its popularity !! staff there are excellent though i think a few of te regular waiters have left now ? didnt do the flexi-dine as it is basically the most expensive item on the menu x7/10/14 .. didnt fancy eating steak every night ? alcohol is a little more exp as well but you can drink by the pool?

it has a semi-olympic pool that is very decieving as to how deep it is ? kids slides are good too and there is a baby pool. Aqua park is at the top of the hill... great day out !!

we went to the Sweet corner restaurant across from the court .. brilliant food at reasonable prices too! went 3 out of the 7 nights. also went to cousins and that was nice too.
