We went to the Belizia in 2002 and 2003 to Club Belizia, I know the hotel has undegone 'Refurbishment' since we last visited, we really loved this hotel, especially 'cardiac hill' and the staff.
Has anyone visited since the refurbishment?
If so can you let us have your comments please.
More recent reviews complain about over-crowding in the restaurant - is this generally true?
Does anyone have a photo of the slide pool as I am unable to find one on the net or even on the hotel website.
Thanks.
Thank you for your reply and link. I have read the reviews but was hoping that someone may have been more recently than May 2005. A lot can change in a year!
I'll keep my fingers crossed
Thanks again.
in 2005 we went to wow bodrum resort in gumbet which was just out of this world but we don't really like returning to the same place twice - no matter how good it is! ha ha
Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently? Can you tell me if there is much around outside the complex or give me any idea of what the hotel is really like (have read the reviews but they seem a mixed bag). What are Bodrum beaches like? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Just got booked for early july next year all inc for a family of 5 and paid 3600 from belfast. TC advised it was a promo price and originally 6k so i snapped it up as i was so desperate. Now hubby not so sure after reading mixed reviews from one website but HT seem to be a bit out of date has anyone any more info on this place just to put minds at rest?
Also can i find out in advance where exactly we would be placed in a 2 room apt with sea view..as i noticed from one of the pics there are quite a few steep steps at this place & 3 of us are asthmatic..i never thought to ask at time of booking!
Thanks
We went to this hotel in August 2006 but it wont have changed much.
The rooms are either in the main hotel building or in 2 storey blocks to the side of the hotel, not sure where your room will be though.
There are a lot of steps and steep slopes to walk up and down (the hotel is set on a hill side) and in the brochure it says it is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. To get from reception to the main pool there is a lift (down two floors) or a steepish slope to walk down, then its down 2 sets of stairs (I think there were slopes down to the pool side aswell).
The hotel was really nice, entertainment was not our "cup of tea" though we went one night to the ampitheatre and it was all spoken in only german.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, it is east of Bodrum, through a little village that looks like a boat building yard. The dolmus stops right outside the hotel so there is a cheap form of transport into Bodrum.
Oh dear this place dont sound too promising. Surely if theres a double page spread in the TC brochure advertising this as a UK EXCLUSIVE they wont just be entertaining in German!! I really hope this isnt the case .. Think i'll have to speak to agent about this.
