Hi there
I'm going to Riu Evrika next week.
Have you been there or just wondering about the hotel?
I hope it is as good as it looks like!!
Olissipo
just wondering when your there can check if they do rooms for five -2 adults and children 10,8 and 2 and also can you pm me to let me know what hotel is like thank you
I believe they have at least interconnecting room, but I'm also curious because we're also 2 adults and 3 children 12, 10, 10.
Back from Riu Evrika!!
On arrival we got 1 double room and 1 double with extra bed ( we have 3 chidren -12, 10, 10) then we asked to change to a Family Room.
Mistake - we didn't see it first
the family room has a double bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed and they put another extra bed.
Well it looks good doesn't it ? It's awful because the two rooms together are smaller than a normal bedroom you don't have space to move, the wardrobe is smaller than the other ones.
So, I went back to the reception and said I wanted to move again, in fact it was a downgrade. I believe that if i had booked it at first the price would have been different.
The hotel is quite nice and I would recommend it, but advise against family rooms.
To be completely honest I must say that the first two rooms I got had perhaps one of the best views in the complex!!! Pool and a lit bit of sea.
Regards
Olissipo
thanks mate will see if i can try another hotel
We would happily pay for 2 interconnecting rooms but cannot find out anywhere if they have these available. I have emailed the hotel direct but am still awaiting a reply. Can anyone who has visited this hotel help in anyway?
kind regards
Jen
You might have to wait some time for a response from the hotel, at this time of the year it's probably still mothballed for winter. You could try through the Riu Group at -

I could be wrong, but I don't think you are going to find interconnecting rooms.
You may have to try another travel company such as Balkan, whom I am sure will be able to sort you out with a 2 adult + 2 children room no bother, but not necessarily in the Riu Evrika.
Best of luck,
Peter
I agree with Pete, could be hard. We went through Balkan last year and had a massive room for 2 adults and 2 children at the Marina Grand Hotel in Golden Sands. Excellent hotel on the beach. Good luck. Regards. Yvette
Hi, I have booked Riu Helios Sunny beach, They do have inter connecting rooms but cannot be booked only requested. I emailed riu direct last year and they have noted my request and I was told that because there are 2 adults and 3 children in my party my request would be fulfilled.
Do you mind telling me who you booked with. I have spoken to First Choice and basically they say there is nothing they can do. I have emailed Riu again, and hopefully will eventually get a reply. I dare not book yet in case they say it isn't possible!
By the way we stayed at the Rui Helios in 2004 and it was really nice. Lovely rooms, pools etc. - this is one of the reasons why we wanted to go back to Bulgaria. Would go back to the same hotel but it is nice to have a change! You will have a great time!
Hi, I booked with portland direct who were much cheaper than First Choice. When I booked the agent could not guarantee an inter connecting room however it was requested on the booking. A week later I emailed Riu and requested inter connecting rooms, they e mailed me back asking for my booking reference, I sent that to them and got a reply stating that the rooms had been reserved for me. I must add that I booked this holiday in September last year.
Most informative this information about interconnecting rooms. Have never come across them in Bulgaria, but it's all part of the leaning curve.
Just to let you know, have finally sorted out my rooms. Got an email from the Rui Evrika that basically said all four of us could sleep in a twin room as they were very large. They said they would put a sofa bed and a babycot in for the 2 yr old free of charge. However, First Choice would not allow this as it was not within their policies and as far as I know you cannot book the hotel direct. In the end the Evrika agreed that if we booked two twin rooms and emailed them our booking ref, they would agree to change it and place us in a family room with separate bedroom with no extra charges. The holiday was just under £1400 with two twin rooms, so price was not bad at all. So far the Rui Evrikra have beenr really helpful and am just keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out. Thanks for all of your help!
