Sorry your holiday has been disrupted. We stayed at the Magic Life a few years ago when it was the Occidental Grand the hotel is in a small complex at Esquinzo which is a couple of miles outside the main resort area. It is perched on the cliff top immediately above the beach. There are no bars except the very good beach bars in the area all the entertainment is hotel based.
You can walk into the resort area and the old town of Morro Jable on the beach it will take 1/2 an hour to an hour depending on where you are going, clothing on the beach is optional. Alternatively there are buses or taxis.
There is a harbour in Morro Jable so I am sure there will be some fishing trips.
You will find the area totally different to Calleta firstly it is predominantly German tourists who go. Also if you are a beach lover you have miles of fantastic natural beaches in either direction.
