We found it very relaxing , only problem was the early morning rise forsunbeds and this can only get worse.
There is a nice adults only pool with bar tucked away.
ok thanx everyone for ur help im sure we'll have a great time
xamyx please let me know everything when you get back as we go 21.8.06 for 2 weeks am especially worried about size of the rooms am going with partner and 2 boys age 12(big lad) and 7 yr old who can't sit still for more than five minutes. have a good time hope to hear all about it when you get back!!
ok then i will do, we go 2moro night at half 10 so i will let u know
xamyx, the club sun city is on my short list for 2007, partly because i think the schools are going to refuse to authorise term time holiday next year and this hotel doesn't have as big a price difference from early july to late july as some do. i would be glad to hear your views when you get back. we are a family of 6, 2 girls who will both be 15 and boys who will be 11 and 9. one thing i would be interested in is whether you think that the girls would be safe enough in olu deniz on their own during daytime and early evening, as they do like to wander around as much as possible on holiday.
I was in Olu deniz last year and returning in just over 2 weeks!! My daughters went off to the shops and to buy giant slushs on a few occasions with no problems at all. I only let them go during the day (aged12&9)but from what I saw Olu is safe with the usual precautions and sense in the evenings as well . I certainly felt it was a very family orientated resort.

Off to the Sun City in 3 weeks and 5 days Tickets arrived this morning, so it really feels like we're on our way now! Not looking forward to Dalaman airport much, but at least the hotel sounds good, and Olu sounds lovely from what I've heard!
We are now counting the days and sleeps
ps does anyone know if we need our own pool towels - do they supply them? Ta .X
HI jilly..we will be there when u are ..off on the 31 of july...hope to see u there....
He will get along fine with my 16 year old, although he doesn't have long hair or play any instruments (apart from his PSP) he will probably have similar tastes in music. Some of my son's friends are in a band, they write their own songs in the style of Nirvana/Green Day kind of music. He dislikes sunshine (although he occasionally enjoys a good splash in the pool - especially water-polo) He is completely embarassed and ashamed of his 'chav' sister (age 13) and they generally go out of their way to avoid each other in public Happy holidays!!!our 16yr old dresses in black, plays bass and has long hair
See you all there in 3½ weeks
3 weeks today for me Then goodbye Manchester airport and hello Club Sun City. (After the long transfer, though ) But all good things come to those who wait.
See you there guys.
see you there jilly xx...nicole
See you all there - we arrive late evening on 10th, so we'll be the pasty white, tired ones looking for sunbeds on the morning of 11th Aug. Been trying to start my 'tan' off in the garden the last few days, but it's so hot here at the moment, and no pool to cool off in. When the kids complain about how hot it is here in Costa del Manchester I just remind them that they'd better get used to it because it's even hotter in Turkey
My boy's got a face as long as a fiddle as he hates the sun - it's a shame we love it and drag him around Europe's/Asia's hottest spots in August - ah well.

My lad has been hiding in his 'batcave' all week - he's looking forward to the holiday, but that's just because he's been so bored since he left school a few weeks ago, nothing to look forward to until he starts college in September. My boy's got a face as long as a fiddle as he hates the sun
Daughter is just Miss Grumpy - still at school until Friday, too hot in school uniform and just at that delightful age where it's 'so not cool' to get excited about anything
I've been trying to find the energy to sort out my stuff, so I can cram in any necessary shopping before 'madame' finishes school, but it's been so hot, I just can't be bothered. I think I've got everything, but I know I need one last trip for my anti-mozzie shopping list.
Has anyone heard any recent reports about the mozzie situation in Olu? We usually go to the Canaries where mozzies aren't really a problem. Also, does anyone know how good the air-conditioning is in the Sun City bedrooms?
Does anyone know if they supply pool towels at the hotel?
Cyberspacekadette - what mozzie preps are you taking? I've just got spray, bug plug and garlic tablets
