Could maybe be the old Didim Hotel which was not nice but I know its been under major refurb and if so looks good
thats a great deal where did you find it
They are very strict at the tarhan aswell if you bring in food or drink from outside where it is cheaper they will confiscate it and charge you for doing so.
The place is lovely though and they have their own beach plus lovely restaurants.
They have their own wesite which is http://www.hvclubtarhan.com
Onur air are a turkish airline and it`s very basic no tv or radio and turkish food but, who cares so long as you get there.
Hope you enjoy your holiday. Jacqui

http://travel.webshots.com/album/558582106iqVSuL can i just say that it is not worth going half board at this hotel you really need to benefit from the all inclusive option as the hotel is expensive, if you do go half board that it would be better to get the dolmus into altinkum and drink in the bars there. the dolmus costs 1.75ytl each way, a efes beer 500ml is 2.50ytl at big bens bar and a 330ml is 5ytl at the hotel! the market is mainly fruit and veg, there are signs on entering the hotel and in the hotel leaflet clearly starting that they will charge you for bringing food and drink into the hotel from outside, but here is a shop in the resort and a bakery, there are also plenty of snack bars there too. the hotel itself is fabulous, a true 5* resort with every possible amenity you could could wish for, the only thing lacking is personality from the staff who we didnt find very friendly. they do have a great hotel photographic team who will do a photo shoot for you well worth it in my oppinion check out my turkey photo shoot album and see for yourself http://travel.webshots.com/album/558584784jPKxcI we had 93 pics on 8x10 matt finish a 10x10 blow up of one photo, all the proofs and the pics on disc for just £243 we bought the whole lot as they were so nice but they do great package deals to suit every budget. In my oppinion it is better to pay by cc as the rate is better against the ytl than the euro. my only real advice is the best time to go to this hotel would be may onwards when the weather is warmer, it is cold in turkey in april! also note that there are a property developer at the hotel and they seem to get priority at the bar and in the resturants! we really enjoyed out time here and met some lovely people, but we wouldnt go back to turkey in general we found them very pushy we didnt like being grabbed every where we went, there are also a lot of dogs and cats around on the streets and in resturants, we went for a meal down opposite medusas temple and instead of getting the cat out from under our table they gave it a piece of fish to eat under it! very odd...but on the other hand the turkish people work very long hours and some ex-pats are very very rude to them i found this very hard to deal with and on occasions found my self saying things to rude ignorant british people who didnt know how to behave! in altinkum there are 35000 turkish people and 10000 british thats a lot of expats isnt it! to be honest i think there were far too many expats!
