We are going back again in June with the kids and wondered if anybody knows if this has reopened in 2010 because its a good place for the kids and for us to watch the world cup!!!!

Hi Guys, Having been a few times in the past in the summer, we visited the strip in December and obviously a lot was closed including the Coconuts 1 bar, now it did look like it was completely closed with a For Sale sign outside.
We are going back again in June with the kids and wondered if anybody knows if this has reopened in 2010 because its a good place for the kids and for us to watch the world cup!!!!

Coconuts bar on the strip was open 2 weeks ago, but the other coconuts down the side street behind the farmacia has got a for rent sign up and there were no signs of life there.
Thanks JayJan, the one down the side was the one i was talking about, the for sale sign was up in Dec when we went, will have to find somewhere else to take the kids now
Alexfan, great shame its closed, it was a good bar for folks who had children with the entertainment programme, obviously a sign of the times. I can't even think of another bar that would have the same facilities as coconuts did. I will have a hunt around and if I hear of anything I will post.

Coconuts bar on the strip is open but not sure about the other one just off the strip as it was still closed last week.
Not sure about other family orientated bars with kiddies entertainment, perhaps another member can comment.
Stones Bar at the top of the strip has a pool table if thats any good.Erins Isle has entertainment and also Father Ed's.

I was over that way last weekend and I am 99% certain I saw the 'for rent' sign still there at Coconuts 1.
