Last year I cashed travellers cheques at the same time as my mum got sterling changed in our hotel and the difference was a few pence, cant remember excatly how much but I know it wasnt very much at all.

Hi Sueball, can you let me know please about commission charged as i am going for the first time in october , and feel safer with travellers cheques, but will also be taking sterling .

Just home from Tunisia this morning after a really great 2 weeks!......wish I was still there now!

I got £60 travellers cheques changed at the same time as my mum got £60 sterling changed she got 128DT back and i got 127DT so the difference was only about 50 pence.
