In July I booked a C&S with Cruisedeals for a Thomson holiday in December. I specifically asked for AI on the cruise and in the hotel and I was assured that I had booked this - the notification that came from Cruisedeals the same week states quite clearly that I have 14 nights AI.
When the tickets arrived yesterday there was no mention of the AI in the hotel - I have spoken to Cruisedeals and they are adamant that it is only a half board hotel - I never rec'd the follow up documents from Thomson but didn't give it much thought as I had the Cruisedeals documents. Cruisdeals are using the get out that I should have chased up the documents from Thomson which would have said 'as brochure' and that it is too late to find out anything now - It seems that looking back at pre-recorded telephone conversations of the time is not possible - if I had been new to using Cruisedeals I wouldn't have been aware that another document would come from Thomson. Can anyone help on this matter?

I don't know much about cruises but I do know that it is the agent's job to chase the tour operator for confirmations. They should check these to make sure everything is correct. The last agent confirmation I received didn't even state that I had booked premium seats so I insisted that I got a Thomson confirmation. Took a bit of doing - heaven knows why, it's not complicated.
I would have another try with cruise deals. It looks like their mess and they are trying to get out of it.
