We've just booked a week in Fuengirola and we intend to do nothing more than have a rest. However, having said that I've noticed an excursion to Cordoba which definitely appeals.
It's a very long day so has anyone done this and what was it like? Could we do it ourselves by train or would we be better with an organised trip?
Thanks.
Sounds like a good plan. We have sent a few people to Fuengirola who did excursions there and all said it was good..
beautiful and worthwhile visiting.
I've spent time in Granada, Seville and Cordoba and love all three cities and think that all 3 are worth a visit but there is no direct train service between Fuengirola and Cordoba. You would have to go via Malaga and change trains there - as far as I can tell the shortest journey time is around 2hrs 20 mins so a day trip there would mean spending close to 5hrs on trains depending on connection times. A direct coach excusion might be quicker.

I know that excursions are on offer from Fuengirola to Granada but not sure about Cordoba.
