Hi, I am going to the Abou Sofiane on the 29th July this year with my 2 children, aged 16 & 15.
Please could anyone advise of the approximate cost for the hire of Jet Ski's. Do you have to barter? If so what would you recommend accepting as a final price?
I look forward to receiving your comments.
Hi Paula, I've just noticed that you've not yet had a reply so would just add my two-pennyworth!! I've never been jet skiing (coward that I am) so haven't taken note of the cost, but most prices in Tunisia are subject to 'negotiation'. There will often be a board on the beach with the prices listed but a good haggle will probably reduce this, particularly if you are booking for more than one person. It will usually be cheaper to book this way rather than through someone at your hotel. Also, if you get friendly with the locals this can reduce the price quite a bit, especially if you intimate that you may be doing it quite a lot during your holiday. Just remember, 'la, gahli barcha' means 'no, too expensive'
Thank you, i will try and remember that phrase.
I'll be home from Tunisia around the 26th July, I will take a walk up the beach to the Abou sofiane and find out how much the jet ski's are so if you haven't had any luck check back on here around the 26th or 27th.

Thank you very much Leanna, i will check back then.
I walked up the the Abou Sofiane and checked the prices for you. now I just have to remember what they are lol
Firstly there are 2 companies thats sell the watersports on the beach and each have slighly different prices on the boards.
passion nautique offer 10mins for 25dt for 1 person or 10mins for 40dt for 2 people.
and then there is the other company who have a slighly smaller board but I can't remember the name....it's something like bousiz de lousuis ( thats so wrong lol) they offer 15 or 20mins for 30dt for 1 person and 15 or 20mins for 45dt for 2 people.
Just by asking about the price then going to walk away you should get it a bit cheaper than it says on the boards.

You will need to check your travel insurance to ensure that you are covered for using jet skis.
Luci, thank you for the advice I will check the travel Insurance, you will probably find that it doesn't cover us but best to check.
