We are going to this Hotel on 25th May and I am really grateful for all your postings - it sounds PERFECT for us - I'm afraid I am a bit of a holiday snob! and you do read some terrible reviews of some places. We are taking the AI inclusive option - something else we have never done before. I will post a review on our return.

Hi there, i think for the tredmill's etc you need to obtain a key from reception as i remember. No charge for towel service you recieve cards on arrival which you take to get your towels. You then change your towels everyday. On your last day you hae to ask the lady for your cards back as you need these when you check out.
The hotel itself is fantastic. Ive been 3 times now and would go back without any hesitation. The staff are friendly, excellent animation team who do all entertainment. worth checking it out during day. Taxis from the airport are cheap 15 euros eachway. 5 euros to peurto del carmen. Marina is beautiful, only a selection of shops and bars but its so tranquil.
Also there is an al a carte restaurant, if all inclusive you are entitled to one meal in there per stay. so you can either choose spanish, or seafood menu which are on varying days.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to upgrade to AI at the hotel itself? Adult price and child price per day please then i can work out if its cheaper to book it half board here and upgrade there or just book it AI to start with!

Any advice about cheapest websites/agents to book it through would be appreciated too

Can't help you with prices. But ring Carol at One Stop Holidays and she will give you a very good price for the package-undercuts travel agents by quite a lot of money.

I have used one stop hols before but i dont know if they are still trading - i have tried to access the website a few times in the last couple of weeks and i just get a message saying that the domain name has expired
I really hope they are still going - we booked a holiday to the rubicon palace with them last year and they were the cheapest by far!!

Can anyone tell me what daytime activities there are for teenagers. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sally, I was at a wedding in the Iberostar yesterday and although there is no smoking in any of the public areas of the hotel, there are plenty of places outside, and under cover where smoking is allowed though. We started off in a small bar, to the left of reception, and up some stairs, and smoking was allowed in there. But, I'm not sure if that was because we were using it for the wedding, or whether it is always allowed.

just wondered if anyone has stayed at this hotel recently & could answer a quickie about the all inc - i have read conflicting reviews, some of which say that all drinks are included (like my much loved Jack Daniels!) and some of which say you have to pay extra for these. can anyone clarify please?
