We are staying at Playa Paraiso near the fishing port of Cabo de Palos, 20 mins from Murcia 1hr from Cartenga. These are approximate times. Apparently we are only 2 mins from Mar Menor.
What I would like help with is what are the things worth doing in this area. I assume that the weather will be fine warm enough for short & t-shirts etc.
We are not interested in sitting at a beach all day but would certainly take an hour or two relaxing with a cool drink.
Info on local markets, where to go to for a day out, i.e. Murcia versus Cartenga or is it worth hiring a car and going into the mountains.
Have heard that this is still typically Spanish which is what we are looking for.
