I have booked a holiday to the Marismas Club resort on an all inclusive basis.
There is only one hotel review on this websire and I was wondering if anyone has stayed here who could tell me what it is like?
Has anyone any info on it and the area
Anyone been or have any information on this hotel as we go in September?
We're thinking of visiting this area later this year....some friends of ours rated it highly. They stopped at the Riu Chiclana...Does anyone have any further reports on this hotel?
Has anyone been to Islantilla? I am thinking of booking a villa next July & was wondering about amenties. My husband & son will be playing golf & I need something to keep my mother in law busy during the day. I'm not expecting the "british costa's" but would like somewhere to walk around for an hour or so, shops etc...
http://www.islancanelaholidays.com There are photos of kite surfing on the beach just by the apartment . http://www.kenelaxtreme.com do lessons on the beach.
Royston
Try Royston
Mostly Spanish there having holidays.
Property is not as cheap as I thought it would be or else would have bought. Lovely evenings can get windy.
If buying remember rental is short as Spanish hol in July Aug - not much nmore and Brits have not arrive there or other Europeans yet en masse. Ghost town in winter.

Have stayed in isla canela which is a nice quiet resort and if you like the old spain this is the area for you. A quiet and relaxing holiday and easy to pop over into portugal which is also nice. We flew into seville with ryanair which was very cheap alot cheaper than easyjet to faro and the journey took aound 90 mins one road all the way. Cheap car hire and some great beaches, only thing bad was the insects on isla canela as they come out in force after dark! This is for a quiet oldy world spain holiday.
Hi everyone. Does anyone know of any webcam websites for the Costa de la Luz?
Which part of the Costa de la Luz are you interested in Bob?
We are thinking of going to Costa de la luz this September. We have been before and stayed in Islantilla about 3 years ago but this time we want to try a different area.
At the moment we are between Nova Sancta Petri and Isla Canela can anyone compare them as regards beaches and hotels and shops.
Many Thanks
However there is a great website specifically about the Costa de la Luz and it has information on both resorts so maybe that will help you decide.

Thanks for that Jan I will have a look
Anywhere really, going to RIU ATLANTICO in june.
these are specific to the area I know but they are traffic webcams so are a bit boring but they do give an idea of the weather.https://www.chiclana.es/soc/trafico/camaras.htm
for a site with alot more information on the Costa de la Luz try
http://www.costa-luz-holiday.com/
or there are more webcam links on this sitehttp://www.costaluzsurf.com/
Found this short video about Novo Sancti Petri, gives an idea what the resort is like
going to the costa de luz on holidays this summer (in june) more than likely in either chiclana de la frontera or zahara. can anyone tell me anything about 2 concerns we have:
1. given that there is a lot of swamplands - aka "national parks" - are mosquitos a problem?
2. is it very windy?
any other info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
john
Chiclana is the place I know best as that is where we have a holiday home so my answers will be more relevant to that area.
As with most places abroad, there are mosquitoes but I don't think they are any worse than anywhere else. Certainly I've not found them to be a massive problem although I do always take piriton with me just in case!!
Being on the Atlantic coast the area is prone to the 'Levante' winds. Sometimes they can be quite strong but they don't usually last very long, maybe a couple of days at the most.
The winds aren't cold as we'd expect over here but if they're bad it more or less rules out the beach unless you're a glutton for punishment!
Chiclana is near the coast whilst Arcos is more in land and I don't know if that makes a difference as we've never had more than the odd days wind whenever we've visited.
It's true that some people are put off the area because of the winds but the locals believe that they will prevent the area being over-developed (as in the Costa de Sol) and therefore are a good thing - perhaps they're right!
Having said that, we rent our house out and no one has ever said the winds have put them off.
Hope that helps -if you want to know anything else - just ask.
we have 2 children - ages 4 and 1 - so as long as theres stuff for them to do we'll be fairly happy. chiclana seems like a nice spot - not deserted but not overrun either. good news on the mosquitos - always wary of marsh/swamp as natural beauty...
thanks again.
