Haven't been to Khao Lak but was in Thailand this last summer. Exchange rates haven't really changed much since then. I think we were getting about 47 bahts and its now about 43 bahts. We never ate at hotels, just the smaller local restaurants. For 2 of us- 2 courses, 2 beers, a wine and a soft drink- we never paid more than £20 and that always included fish of some kind.
