Yes believe me this restaurant is the worst i have ever come across on my travels, the owners also have a shack on the beach called spottys shack and this is the same i will never go there again.

Have to agree, Nick. We had the worst meal we've ever had in Goa there a couple of years ago - not helped by the cockroach that walked across the table in an effort to share it with us.

Food lousy, service dreadful. :x

is that the place down a little rd off the candolim rd to the beach???
if so thats where my o/h got the worst food poisoning ever 2 yrs ago. it looked lovely & the garden setting was nice all was fine till o/h ordered an extra little bowl of curry sauce to go with his tandoori chicken, within 20 mins of having a couple of spoonfuls his stomach cramps started & he just knew straight away what it was......spent 2 days vomiting & running to the loo poor sod! god know how long the curry sauce had been kicking around the kitchen unrefridgerated.yuk!
needless to say we havent been back there & none of have ever had any gut probs since in 3 trips.

Hi there people, yes coyotes restaurant is in candolim not dabolim as i said before missspelt sorry for that, but as i said this restaurant should be avoided at all costs tell you friends and relatives too. There is a shack on the beach called spottys shack which is connected in some way with coyotes restaurant, and i would definetly give that a miss too.The peolpe or person who own this restaurant(i have names but not sure if you can post here) frequently visits the uk ,god i just hope they dont open a restaurant here!

We have been staying in Candolim for 5 months now and after being recommended by a friend we have visited Coyote almost every day in that time. We have had breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. I can honestly say that none of us (and there are 6 of us) has ever had a problem with either the service, cleanliness or food in Coyote.
For the person that shared their table with a cockroach, THIS IS INDIA, you were lucky thats all that visited your table.
For the person who got food poisoning, again, this is india you can pick up a bug from almost anywhere and besides it takes at least 2 to 6 hours for food poisoning to take effect in your system, so maybe you had better log a post about the place you ate breakfast or lunch.
For anybody else reading this post, I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant...

Sorry emma....call me picky but I just don't like cockroaches on the dining table. I know it's India, I know I'm never too far away from a roach or a rat but nearly every other restaurant I've been to manages to prevent them from sitting down to dine with you.

Perhaps things have changed at Coyote...they certainly needed to!

Yuck :rage no matter where I was in the world, even India, I would never share my table with a cockroach or anything similar! I would walk out immediately. IMO anyone wanting to share their table with a cockroach beggars belief! :omg

Having unfortunately been party to Spotty's self appointed, heavy handed tactics in removing sellers from the beach I won't be visiting his shack or restaurant. The guy is nothing but a bully

Roma and Gemma, I can understand how you feel, but I have never seen one in Coyote in five months, its just one of those things I suppose!

never eaten at the coyote so can't comment.
However I am shocked at the remark "lucky thats all that shared your table"
Emmalelaloola you must eat in some dodgy places if you expect to share your table with creatures other than your friends/ relatives.
Maybe I am lucky but have never seen a cockroach in any restaurant and have only seen one rat(which may have been a kitten)

Hello del,
As like most restaurants in Goa, Coyote is an open air place so all manner of things can enter the premises uninvited!!
Our house in Goa is kept spotlessly clean by ourselves (i myself used to be a housekeeper), and we have had 3 cockroaches appear in the house in five months. Yes the first one freaked us out and sent us all on a scrubbing frenzy, but they honestly dont bother us too much.
Mind you... I might have something to say if I saw a rat!! yuk!

Have to say i love this place.... friends recommended it to me before i came and i have not a bad thing to say about it..
i have been here a couple months and the staff there have been great not only with the service but with helping me out a few times, they cannot do enough for you.
The food is great to, and have never seen any cockroaches in there.. unlike some other places in the area!
o and Nick if the owner does up a restaurant in England good luck to him..i would certainly go.

I watched you register this morning come on line, disappear, emma ( who is posting from the same ip) then immediately appeared and posted, logged off, then you immediately logged on and posted. Quite a coincidence isn't it????? Both are of course posting from Goa. I think that says it all. We'll let the members decide what to make of it. Topic locked.
