Has anybody stayed at
Iberostar Creta Marine
or
Iberostar Creta Panorama
hotels? What I read in the travel agency's catalogue and on the Internet is that the hotels have some bays - not "real" beaches. Is there enough sand in the bays so I could play with my 2 year old daughter (building castels from the sand, etc.)?

Great hotels - but the beaches are small and essentially man made !!
If you are looking for a big sandy beach.......this is unfortunately not a feature you will find there....its possibly the hotels one and only down side. However, my small children did make use of their buckets and spades when staying there (though in a fairly limited way !) and the nearby beach at Panormo is sandy...although not that big, it is alot bigger and sandier than those at the hotel..
