Next weekend im off to Ruda park with my best mate & her 3 year old son.
neither of us have ever been to the area before & want to have a few options of places to visit, if the weather isnt good enough for us to spend the days on the beach.
We are looking for places not to far away (no further than an hours drive) that her 3 year old will enjoy.
we have been told that the Milky way adventure park in Bideford & combe Martin dinosaur park are good options.
has anyone been to becky falls, it looks about 60miles away from Croyde .. is it worth the drive for a day??
any help is appreciated
For you and your friend there is a twice weekly market in the Woolacombe area, not far from the Damage Barton caravan park, it`s not large, but food and drink can be bought there and it`s quite cheap, with a free car park. Ilfracombe is also nice for a wander around the souvenir shops and cafes. There was an old fashioned double decker bus parked near the harbour when we were there, doing a tour of the area, but it didn`t actually start there, and I can`t remember where the driver said it did start, sorry.
I forgot to mention Watermouth Castle. We didn`t actually go there as it`s a theme park for young children, but we were told that it was lovely. It`s right opposite Watermouth Cove, a small pretty cove with a small beach. Have a nice holiday!
Thank you ... i think we will give the dinosaur park a try!
Thats really helpful ... thanks Pippy!!!
Claire, Croyde is one of my favourite places, I stayed on Ruda 11 years ago, I don't think you'll be disappointed and the beach is beautiful. You could also have a drive to Woolacombe, it's not far along the coast. Have a lovely time
