There is usually a set itinerary, Dizzy, which takes in most of the popular sites to visit. These trips are included in the cruise price although some special excursions, i.e. Abu Simbel, carry a separate charge.

There are some "all inclusive" boats on the river now where your drinks are included too so it's worth looking around. It's a wonderful adventure on The Nile, I promise!!!

The only thing that I would add to Carrots reply is that some cruises that are advertised in the UK press, often have an additional seperate package price for the tours. So read the small print. Otherwise as he says, it is all included in the price.

It will cost you a fraction of the price in you book locally in Luxor. Expect to pay somewhere in the region of £400 upwards for a week's cruise with a uk operator or around £75 for 3 nights locally. Both itinary's are virtually idenical, except with the uk booking you will spend 3 nights on the boat in Luxor.
