well if you go into a thomson shop here and ask them the best rate plus staff rate on top.be cheeky with that.ask them what £100.00 will get which you should see on shop front board.then ask them top rate for £1000 .see what they say.up it to £1500 or 2k even..you should get at least 2/3 euro more than the rate on £100.00...if you can afford 1k thats say 20/30 euro more in your pocket.
if you do take the lot out with you split it up.ie give your wife some.etc.put a few euro;s in one pocket to get a drink at airport etc.do not put all your money in one place.ie don;t flash your cash.so your not getting your wallet out.then most inportant thing is get a safe...
all depends when your thinking of going.as rates move everyday.so keep an eye out
We were there a week ago and the rate in Cala Bona was 1.14 to the pound, the same as here, but it did rise here slightly after we came back

The Euro to Pound rate rarely varies by more than +-0.1 so take your bank card. When asked if you wish to be charged in Pounds or Euros, always answer Euros. Look after your cards, see my post on pick-pockets...
