Just make sure which "Cyprus" you have booked to go to....

The one in Sicily or the island of Cyprus?

Yes, there is only1 Mediterranean Beach Hotel in Cyprus (the real Cyprus, that is) - not to be confused with Nicosia, Cyprus which according to CNN is in Sicily :cheers

Is that down the road between Windmills and the chinese restaurant Bluemax? Not sure if we will be going away this year with Caleb now at school you cant take them outside of the school holidays for more than 10 days so if we do it will only be September. Unless we win the lottery of course!! 3 weeks in September sounds lovely ENJOY :cheers

Hi Lordy, yes I believe thats where it is, just wanted a cheap week but managed to get 10 days. I love going in September/October but its just too long to wait.

Having to go in School holidays is a pain isnt it, so expensive, not to mention the heat in July/August.

Think Alex is in the Artemis this year so will probably be round there seeing him. :cheers

Just about to book a week going on the 2nd May, can't decide between Ayia Napa and Protaras, it might come down to the toss of a coin. We've never been this early in the year, what can we expect weather wise? Not that really matters as it's definiteley going to be better than home.

Carl M - what do you want to do on holiday ? Napa is generally a younger more loud and lively place (I said generally) and generally Protaras is a bit more family...

In May the weather is usually pretty good (better had be we are there shortly) but you can't say you might not get a bit of rain at some point (not UK rain, it won't start raining and not stop for 8 months until everything is covered with moss... it might last an hour and then brighten back up again... and you'll soon feel your skin burning again) The average days of rainfall for May are about 2!... We went for 5 nights in April once and even then the weather was pretty decent (200% better than the UK at the same time)...

and if you do get a bit of rain, you could always hide in the bar.... :sun2

Thanks for the reply Askcy, we've been to Napa 7 times and to Protaras the last 2 years and love them both. We've decided to return to Protaras and now it's a choice between the Antigoni or the Kapetanios Bay.

edit- the Antigoni it is :cheers

Well so much for not going away!! My mam has just surprised us with the information we are going to Marlita beach hotel/apartments for 2 weeks at the end of June!! She even managed to get time off school for Caleb as it will only be 4 days off due to Friday bank holiday. Only problem now is I only have 3 weeks to lose weight!! ;)
