Damson Dean Hotel

Has any one stayed at the Damson Dean Hotel nr lake Windermere recently? also does any one know of a good hotel in the Lake District,with good food and clean rooms. Unfortunatly our usual hotel the Kings Head Thirlespot was not up to standard last time we stayed, good food but the room was not clean, inches of dust everywhere

i've only just joined this website so i'm sorry this is a bit late in the day !
my brother and his girlfriend regularly stay at this hotel cos they love it!the last time was in nov.2004 and they were not disappointed!
in particular they love the food there!!
