We are off the Denia in just over 6 weeks. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any restaurants, trips etc. We have two children, 12 and 8.
Also, can anyone recommend a reliable car hire company, we want to pick up the car at Alicante airport.
Thanks

Hi djs37 ... while you wait for some feedback and recommendations for Denia, we have a separate CAR HIRE (Alicante) topic which you may like to take a look at and feel free to post in.

We always book our cars with doyouspain.com , which is a broker . You don't have to give your creditcardnumber . Last week we got a good car from Auriga.
We liked Cafesolo restaurant : very good and not expensive . You find it at the road towards Las Marinas ,left site next to Goldcar rentals.
You should make a trip to Javea , next town towards the south, either by car or by boat .
The town of Valencia is woth for a day trip

Wok Denia is a very good and reasonably priced Chinese buffet on the main road into Denia.
In Denia itself we tend to eat along the Plaza del Raset which is near the modern roundabout. Pizzeria Lugano has always been good as has El Mirral de L'Arros - they've had a very good 3 course menu for c.€9 and is usually the place we eat on our first night there.
Denia is our closest beach when we go to Benidoleig, but we prefer to go to Javea which is great for young children (ours are 18 months and almost 6). Denia beach tends to be windier and the sea bed can be quite uneven and rocky. The Arenal at Javea is great though although it does get very busy in the summer.
We're off on 29 July for 15 days and we can't wait - just typing about it has got me thinking about all that we're planning to do .
 .
The new shopping centre just off the AP-7/N332 near Ondara is definitely worth a visit and they have ten pin bowling which might be worth a trip on a very hot day which it will be when you're going.
Have a great time!

The train from Denia centre goes to Calpe, Altea, Benidorm and Alicante.
If you visit benidorm there is Terra Mitica and Terra Natura, kids will love these places.
There is a ferry over to Ibiza and one to Formentera.
