I'm planning on going on holiday with a close friend of mine during the 21st - 29th September. Problem is, can't really think of a destination!

I was looking at the carribean, but with only 8 days of holiday, I do not want to waste two days with travelling. I'm willing to spend upwards of £1500 for the two of us, as I want it to be special. (Hey, if its cheaper, I won't complain about that either!)

Only requirements are;

I fancy a beach resort. (Sort of why I wanted the Carribean)
Decent hotel. Don't mind paying extra for one in the right location.
She dives, so diving activites would be good.
Good weather, good food, etc.
Interesting, but not too busy!

I'm looking at packages, but I'm in a position where I can get cheap BA flights. (Family connection - Hotline or 80% discount), therefore it might be prudent to stay away from the package malarky. Not ruling them out though if they are cheaper!

Well, its my first post, and certainly one full of questions! Can anyone help? (I'm so busy in work I don't get much time to look around!)
