Hi Guys,
Me and my mrs are looking to go to the above for a week in August 21st this year and I just wondered if anyone had been there this year and could give us a report on what it is like etc...
We went to Taba Heights in Egypt last year and got into the snorkelling quite a lot and would possibly try scuba diving this time if it is cheap enough.
I have checked the resort reports section on this site and there is only one report for the Dhonveli resort so not much to go on on really.
We have been quoted £3300.00 for this all inclusive holiday in a water bungalow with First Choice and would like to know if this is good value or not?
Is there any building work going on?
Is the food varied as we are not big fish eaters?
What are the chances of really bad weather like hurricanes etc... or a lot of rain?
How does Dhonveli compare to other islands like Paradise Island or Sun Island?
Before we go ahead and pay for the holiday we would like some more background and how to get value for money on this once in a lifetime holiday.
Any info that you can provide would be most welcome!
Dez.
For more reports look on trip advisor but bear in mind that many of the reports are from USA and us Brits dont always see things the way they do!
As for the cost side of things, we are paying £3100 (for both of us not each!) for a fortnight AI in October for Kuredu island (is Dhonveli AI??) this is staying just in a beach bugalow, if you could go for two weeks then consider staying in one of the cheaper rooms and you will probably find your second week will pay for itself!
Im sure someone else will be able to answer your specific questions soon!
