I've just returned from a week in Cornwall where the weather didn't cooperate in our beach day plans forcing us to find other things to do for four adults and two children.
On reading various leaflets on the local attractions I was surprised that few mentioned a disabled concession but pleased that when we arrived all of them offered us a significant discount, some were even half price.
So it pays to ask.
(not one asked for proof of disability although my walking difficulties were evident, my partners disability is less so)
I'm also pleased to report that although some places were just too big for me to see everything (I get tired very quickly) most had made reasonable provision to be accessible.
I don't have a blue badge (though have a concessionary bus pass as I lost my driving license) - so, out of interest are there alternative forms of proof that I could be using??
Have you got one of these...
I do - just not sure if it is acceptable as "evidence"
