I have been thinking about taking a trip to Olu Deniz from Marmaris, having had a quick look on some maps its a fairly straight foward route by car, but im unsure if there is a bus service.

Id quiet like to do some parasailing, and as far as I know the closest they do it from Marmaris/Ichmeler is Olu Deniz.

Interesting question as i am going to Olu Deniz but would love to visit Icemeler having heard so much about it on here.

we did this trip in feb by car with our turkish friend .i think it was about 2hr plus .cant really say cos we visited other places round that region too, a must is to see the abandoned village its so interesting ,was a straight forward journey.im sure it would be expensive by taxi due to fuel costs in turkey.

If you go to Marmaris Bus Station, there's coaches leaving for Fethiye almost hourly. The journey is about 2 hours (with a 10 minute refreshment stop) and only costs about £5 approx. Definately very cheap!

From Fethiye bus station you can catch a dolmus to Oludeniz. Takes about 15 minutes and costs 2.5 TL.

Hi there,
I can't add anymore than what's been already written, all posts bang on, but the distance is approx 130 kms, roughly 81 miles, can be driven by car in about 1hr 45 minutes. but for me though, I think i would use autogar, ( coach in our language ) from Marmaris to Fethiye then onto Olu Deniz by dolmus. Nothing better to discover things and new experiences.
