hi, theres a group of us thinking of going away for a short break to tunisia (3-4 days), we dont mind booking flights and hotels seperate, so do you think we will be able to find a holiday to tunisia for such a short period of time?
if so do you have any links to any sites that maybe useful
ps were wanting to go towards end of august
Thomson do holidays to Tunisia for 3 to 4 nights in winter, not sure about summer though - try their website. Kunoi do short breaks there as well.
Yes you can do that . There are some Italians they go to Tunisia almost every weekend. Try to contact the closest Tunisian tourism office and they will provide you with a list of travel agents and hotels.
Good luck
Yes, you definately can do this as I have! And you can do it independently as I have done many times. You can book a flight only through Thomson (thomsonfly.com) if you want to fly into Monastir. They do short break flights leaving Wednesday pm and coming back Sunday pm. Alternatively if you fly into Tunis you can fly with British Airways and they fly on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from Gatwick to Tunis and vice versa. You can book hotel rooms in many Tunisian resorts through Medhotels.com (and many other 'hotel only' websites , such as lowcostbeds.com or even Thomson.com do hotel only but this is my favourite) and can book as many nights as you like. They also do a great transfer service from either Tunis or Monastir airports to the hotel you have booked. This is all done separately too and you can choose to transfer independently if you wish! Another option is to book with a hotel directly. I hope this helps :-)
Unless transfers are included, be very wary of booking them through your travel company. Panorama will book you a private taxi transfer from Monastir to Sousse/PEK for £43 return - not exactly a bargain when a taxi doesn't cost more than £5/10 each way and that's being generous.
