most painters here get more on the floor than they do on the walls.... make sure you get references from anyone doing services for you.. and most of all compare prices. there have been a lot of disappointed people here. maybe some of the expat community can do it for you... standards will be better

Abla.... do you do the work yourself or do you use Turks? How long have you been established? The reason I ask is that I know several people who would do work and some that need apartments looking after.... but I wont recommend people without seeing previous jobs

I do the housekeeping and my husband(Turk) does the maintenance jobs.He has been trained(by me ) to UK standards!!We also have a team of outworkers if the job is not in hubbies field.All work is supervised .All the way through.Have worked with same electrician for 10yrs for example.

The cleaner we use is great - so thorough and... clean!! lol She charges 40 TL per day, which i think is about the going rate - I would be more than happy to recommend her

Agree with Chelseboy about the painter - we got one in last year - there was more on on newly laid tiles than there was on the walls - i was not impressed - he was just laughing at me following him round putting down dust sheets (a unheard concept in Turkey me thinks!!) I think we paid him a daily rate of 40-50 TL
