Hi all,
Just need some info as to whether Garrucha (or nearby towns) shut down for Easter bank holiday weekend or not. Possibly arriving in Almeria on the Saturday 15th April, just need some advice as to whether shops and restaurants will be open so we can stock up when we get there??
Already have accomodation.
any replies/suggestions greatly appreciated
thanks
leon
Hello, only the Thursday and Friday are Fiestas and I think shop openings will only be affected on the Friday as the Thurs is more of a regional thing and I doubt shops in or around Garrucha would close for two weedays on the trot. The Spanish do not have the Bank holiday Monday as do the Brits, all the best,John.
P.S.Mercadona Supermarket in Garrucha is open until 9.15pm on the Saturday night I believe. If you are ever stuck there is a Supermarket in Mojacar called "Thomas's" which opens even on Xmas Day!!!!
