Hi
I am going back to Calangute in March again this year and am interested on going on the dolphin boat trip
i was wondering if anyone on here has been on this trip and what they thought of it?
also has anyone had bad experiences on ANY of the trips?
Oh this may seem abit random but are there any sharks in the sea by any of the beaches and if so which ones?
thanks

No sharks unless you are counting the Taxi drivers. If this is the same trip we went on then you get picked up taken to sinquerim pier.Get on a boat out around the headland to see some dolphins, the prison, the villa owned by the owner of kingfisher. You then proceed to an island where you can swim and snorkel(water too murky to see anything)then its off to a beach for a BBQ and some sunbathing.
When we went it was rather choppy and as the beer was included in the price,on the way back I nearly hurled. However the crew found the waves enourmous fun and were obviously highly amused by our green faces.
Would not do it again but had a good day out.
Regards
Papa

Lots of dolphin trips available and you will definitely see dolphins.
You can often see dolphins off the beach at Candolim or Calangute.
There are sharks - you'll see them at the fish market.
I've seen hammerheads there - about 1.5 metres long.
Not a problem for swimmers though.
By the way some shacks offer shark fillet with chips - it's delicious.

The villa on the headland is nothing to do with "Mr Kingfisher."

Sorry mis-informed.
Guys on the beach will take you our for an hour to dolphin spot.
300-500 rups.
300-500 rups.
I will definitely be taking a dolphin spotting trip.... but is there anywhere where there is a chance of the age old favourite of swimming with them?

As they are wild they stay clear of the boats often only seeing either the tail/dorsal fin/nose
