I have been really looking forward to my first visit to Goa since booking last June. Was thinking about it even more when in Playa den Bossa in Sept. (What a xxxxhole that place is !!) I have'nt dare show my wife all the negative threads that are cropping up, & am determined to try & relax & enjoy. As i was thinking on my 400 mile round trip from Newbury to Plymouth in the gale force wind & rain this morning, 'its got to be better than this' roll on 6th Feb.

Ditto to KJF's post though I can't believe he has a list bigger than a mother-in-laws tongue
I'll never forget our first trip to Goa. We had just got married driven from the Highlands to Edinburgh and then flown down to Gatwick and then on to Goa via Bahrain I don't think we had slept for 36 hours. It was about 0930 when the plane first tipped its wings and we caught our first sight of the crystal blue sea with the lovely quaint fishing boats bobbing up and down, we were so excited. The heat as we stepped off the plane and the smell of Goa, we then battled through the airport. From there on to the coach and the journey to the hotel and what a journey through the small villages with cows wandering up the road, the Portgugese style villa's the huts, the market stalls at the side of the road and of course the smiling children waving at you. The colour's the sights the sounds absolutely fantastic we were so wide awake, we couldn't believe we were actually there and not watching a TV documentary (It was Mrs Jocks first trip abroad and what a start). We were now so wide awake when we arrived at our hotel we literally just dumped our case's had a quick shower and then went exploring. What followed was a wonderfull honeymoon exploring the wonders of Goa, the fantastic beaches, great historical sights, mad but great fun authentic Indian markets, great wildlife and birdlife (crocs dolphins monkeys osprey's) fabulous food and of course the Goan's the most hospitable people we had (and have) ever met Goa had it all. We loved it so much we returned 6 months later.
p.s. So don't worry David H you will have an absolutely fantastic trip and i look forward to reading your report when you return.
