Hi has anyone stayed at this hotel on All inclusive? My hubby and I are thinking of going begining of May. We would like to know what food etc is like, also how much is a taxi from the airport. We read on this site it is approx 20 mins on bus to Rhodes but does anyone know how much bus fares are and are busses regular and reliable beginning of May. We have never been to Rhodes befor so any info would be most welcome.

Food in the main restaurant is good - but becomes repetitive after a while. The choice is typical Mediterranean hotel far, plus Greek choices including plenty of Tzatziki and Feta, and daily options - souvlaki, mousakka etc. The outdoor snack bar serves salad, chips, meatballs/burgers etc. If you want a change head in Rhodes old towm and wandeder some back streets to find a taverna used by locals - not one where the owner or a waiter tries to invite you in. I asked a dive instructor by the harbour for a recommendation (I had been diving with him earlier in the day) and found a really excellent, very cheap meal.
The hotel is quite compact, with ground leading to a shingle beach. In the sea it's a sandy bottom. Large pool with no real shallow area, but there is a paddling pool too.
Lots of activities through the day, boule, aqua-aerobics, volley ball and such are organised by the (English) animation team. There is usually a light hearted quiz around the pool/beach bar at lunchtimes.
In the evenings the team perform shows in the indoor bar area, or the beach bar stays open for a quiet long cold one under the stars.
hi there we have stayed twice at the doreta beach and on both occasions found it to a lovely hotel althought the second time was a little crowded nice size rooms and very clean have a lovely holiday .
we,ve just come back from doretta beach this morning after 2 weeks there and all i can say is dont expect to be doing anything apart from drinking in the evenings , the entertainment for everyone is not good at all, not for the lack of trying but theres only 6 animation team there and of course they are ok for the tiny tots but if youre a teanager there is nothing at all, , food a bit repetative but ok alway something to eat, staff brilliant , barmen very funny, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, busses stop across the road and it takes about 40 mins to get to rhodes , nice town , good shopping , bus veryyyyyyyyyyy packed like sardines but very cheap 2. 20 euros for adults half price for kids , ouzo very cheap , works out about 3 pound for a litre, same for vodka and gin and spirits if you get their own make, all in all we didnt go with any expectations and came back relaxed and sunburnt which is what a holiday is all about after all, everyone there all exeptionally friendly especially the teanagers , hi belvedier boys , everyone round the pool bar always up for a dance and laugh, all nationalaties got on like we all family, just go with no expextations and just enjoy the sun and people
