I would like to give a hearty recommendation for the Dream 3 Bells. It was the 3 bells last year and is opposite The Lion Bar.
The new management have recruited some top staff and anyone who is an Icmeler regular is bound to know someone there. (Tommy from Dream Boys on the canal, Abik who was at Mr Chef & Welcome Inn last year and many more).
The food is fantastic, from probably the best chef in Icmeler. You have to try the baguettes on the lunch menu, I am a big eater but even I was struggling and if you like it spicey try the mexican one.
The evening menu is faultless and if you are sitting on the kitchen side will find the Chef waving to see if you like your food.
The whole place has been redesigned and refurbished so is much more comfortable & airy than before.
They provide free internet access on 2 computers and as they also own the appartments above you have use of the pool.
One last thing I must mention is if you have a cocktail expect a surprise.
If anyone does go please say a big hello from Tim & Joan and tell them we will see them in August.
I will give it a whirl in August...First time up in the old village this year and I am looking forward to some of the delights it has to offer I have heard good things about some of the eateries up there...
We stayed in the Blue Rainbow across from the 3 Bells in May and EVERY time we passed,, Bob The Builder came out and said it was his birthday. We are returning in Aug so i might take a birthday card with me because i know his patter now. Sorry but we used Romeo and Juliets and the Amalia. Happy hols Anna xxxxxxxxxxxx

I cannot wait, this weather here in sunny Manchester is getting me ready for it.

Roll on August...
Dost
Now that's handy for us John
Thats it Tim, and a little escape from the pool at the Tuncay in the afternoon to watch a bit of sport on sky tv.
If memory serves me right the Dost was originally on the front a few years back - does good food
Went to Dost twice last year, excellent food.
Thanks john, i said dos in my little report above its a good job we have you to keep us on the straight and narrow.
In fact - this time last week we had our evening meal in Dost - we ate there 3 times (food always great) but I think we were pretty much their only customers this year - its so quiet up there. They all waved to us each morning as we had brekkie on the balcony, and again each evening while we had our drinks and dominoes! Had same room last year and loved it and thanks to John and Sharon, Fatma had the key ready for us when we arrived. Missing it already
Tommy is now sole owner as Apo has gone back to The Florida.
Many of last years staff are back again this year.
If anyone would like the link to the webcam just send me a PM.
Tim

It's 5 minutes walk and as for advice on Icmeler just read this forum!
You will love it.
Two bits of advice:
1. If you are are going with a big holiday company, you will make a "comfort stop" on the way to Icmeler. Personaly I never buy anything as they are very expensive, it's only another hour or so, just wait until you get to Icmeler. Also, don't be fooled by the person sitting beside the toilet with a plate expecting a tip, these are free.
2. Do NOT take Euros. Icmeler/Marmaris is one of the few places left in the world where the British Pound still widely accepted (travellers cheques are OK but if you feel safe just take notes and use the safe, I always do but have a reserve I can get from the cash machines).
For any other advice just ask and you will get so many replies.
Regards
Tim
