Kath, I was getting a litre for under 10, so I would be surprised if bars were paying more than that.

of course you can go to a supermarket and buy everything cheaper than a bar.... same as in the uk or probly any other country you care to name.
same way as i can go buy a steak and a bag of chips for less than i'd pay in a restaurant...
obviously the company/bar owner/s have overheads.... they sell to make a profit or there is no business..... not rocket science is it!
you could, i guess buy a litre of smirnoff for under 10 euros in a supermarket and go sit on the beach and drink it for free. (oh and dont forget your mixer!!!)

Why? Because you don't like the way it's going. This thread was'nt about you or your bar, but bar prices in general. But you , as a bar owner, replied to the post and supplied us with some answers, for which we are grateful. You even let us know what you charge for a vodka and coke. Great. But when asked what bars are charged for a bottle the topic is now getting silly. Again, why? It seems a reasonable question given the subject. But one that you don't want to answer.
Steak and chips I don't think is relevant as the topic is "Drinks prices". Not complaining about the price of food. And yes, it is obvious if you are a bar owner you want to make a profit and stay in business. And I hope you do for a long time.
One other thing. Your attempt at wit at the end of your post, which is nothing short of sarcasm, does you no credit at all. The forum is here to help people, not to put them down because you might not agree with them.
